“Trust Who? ME!?” Being born in this world with a heart that needed two surgeries (within my first 5 years of taking my first breath) definitely influenced how I learned to trust my body. This questioning of my power became interwoven with my ability to ask myself hard questions since a very young age. It brought me to a place of courage that was NECESSARY for me. I had to have the courage to trust: that my body could heal and grow AND THRIVE amidst the challenges presented to me. I owe it to my family and community coming together to show me both spiritual and social practices to help make a clear pathway for that! There are so many things money can’t buy.

Our intuition plays a key role to tell us if our choices are in fact in line with our values and beliefs. This is where self trust plays such a crucial role in guiding us as we continuously adventure in life. People who trust themselves are more easily able to overcome obstacles and survive difficulties. The resilience that comes with trusting yourself means that you are confident in your ambitions and dreams and ride the waves of challenge and you don’t give up or lose hope during the stormy times. In psychology, self-trust is proven to be both a gate keeper AND motivator for both personal autonomy and self esteem. To celebrate this fertile opportunity for change, and to keep things simple, I've put together 10 ways that will help you on your self trust journey:
